Sean Melly (TCD 1985: Business) following a Masters Degree in Finance (UCD 1986) spent 10 years in Banking in London & New York working for Citi & the investment vehicles of the Belzberg family and Dermot Desmond. Following this he became a telecoms entrepreneur establishing businesses in the US, Ireland (TCL Telecom acquired by Verizon) and Eastern Europe (eTel acquired by Telekom Austria). He is now Chairman of Powerscourt Investments, a Venture Capital & Private Equity boutique where he is a non-executive director and investor in a range of technology based high potential start-up and developing companies. He is Chairman of the Board of Trinity Business School, Professor of Finance (adj.) on the MBA Program, & member of the Provost’s Council.
